My First Journey

For some people there is nothing so exciting as traveling, and I’m not an exception. And I’m happy that I have traveled a lot and I hope that my first journey wasn’t the last one.
First I bought a ticket for plane. Many people think, that nothing can be compared with traveling by air, because it is the most comfortable, and, of course, the quickest way of moving. There is none of the dust and dirt of a railway or car journey, none of the trouble of changing from train of another to streamer and then to another train. But booking tickets in summer is a problem. The air-fare is quite expensive and not all people can afford it.
Then I continued my way by the train. This kind of transport has also many advantages. With a train you have a comfort and speed combined. From a comfortable corner seat of a railway carriage you have a splendid view of a countryside. If you are hungry you can have a meal in the dinning-car and if the journey is long one can have a bed in a sleeper.
But I believe that there is no travel so fine as by ship. It’s wonderful to feel the deck of the ship under the feet, to see the rise and fall of the waves, to feel the fresh sea wind blowing in the face, hear the cry of the sea-gulls. Of course, the voyage isn’t exciting for those who are sea-sick when the sea is a little bit rough.
Many people say: «Give me a walking tour any time». And it is not surprising. The walker leaves the dull, broad highway and goes along little winding lanes where cars can’t go. He takes mountain paths through the heather, he wonders by the side of quiet lakes and through the shades of woods.
He sees the real country, the wild flowers, the young birds in their nests, the deer in the forest, he feels the quietness and calm of nature. And besides, you are saving a lot of money by traveling on foot. No one can deny that walking is the cheapest method of traveling.

Travelling

Many people like to travel because it is interesting, attractive & you can see new different places. There are few reasons why people travel. The first: they visit other counters for getting more useful information about this country, his nation, languages & so on. The second reason people travel for relax. Sometimes it is necessary to leave your house & have a rest. As usual people go trip in their holidays. I certainly like to travel too, because it is interesting for me to see new countries & places This summer I have been in Turkey in small town Marmaris. It is there pretty small town without any monuments & museums .It is situated in the southern part of Turkey in the Again sea. My parent’s &I lived in a little hotel in the seashore. Every evening in the embankment a lot of small restaurants were opened & it was very pleasant to walk along the shore & breath fresh sea air. It was a lovely picturesque place. I like it very mach. But I wasn’t impressed by it. I have more fan & relax in the Black Sea. I spend there only 2 days, but they leave in my memory more recollections that 2 weeks in Marmaris. In the morning I got up early for getting seashells but most of all I enjoy jumping over the waves .It was really impressive. But I began to miss my home other that I have so remarkable holidays in my life. Why people miss their homes? The home is the place where we live from day to day & we can not forget it. This place are always stayed in owe memory as the best & comfortable place in the world. All good recollections connected with it.

Travelling/Holidays

Modern life is impossible without travelling. Thousands of people travel every day either on business or for pleasure. They can travel by air, by rail, by sea or by road.
Of course, travelling by air is the fastest and the most convenient way, but it is the most expensive too. Travelling by train is slower than by plane, but it has its advantages. You can see much more interesting places of the country you are travelling through. Modern trains have very comfortable seats. There are also sleeping cars and dining cars which make even the longest journey enjoyable. Speed, comfort and safety are the main advantages of trains and planes. That is why many people prefer them to all other means.
Travelling by sea is very popular. Large ships and small river boats can visit foreign countries and different places of interest within their own country. As for me, I prefer travelling by car. I think it's very convenient. You needn't reserve tour tickets. You needn't carry heavy suitcases. You can stop wherever you wish, and spend at any place as much time as you like.
Every year my friend and I go somewhere to the South for holidays. The Black Sea is one of the most wonderful places which attracts holiday-makers all over the world. There are many rest-homes, sanatoriums and tourist camps there. But it is also possible to rent a room or a furnished house for a couple of weeks there. Sometimes, we can place ourselves in a tent on the sea shore enjoying fresh air and the sun all day long.
As a rule, I make new friends there. In the day-time we play volleyball, tennis, swim in the warm water of the sea and sunbathe. In the evening I like to sit on the beach watching the sea and enjoying the sunset.
I'm fond of mountaineering. So I do a lot of climbing together with my friends. Time passes quickly and soon we have to make our way back. We return home sunburnt and full of impressions.

Travelling (1)

People began to travel ages ago. The very first travellers were explorers who went on trips to find wealth, fame or something else. Their journeys were very dangerous but still people keep on going to the unknown lands.
Nowadays it is not as dangerous and much more convenient. Do you want to go somewhere? Hundreds of companies are there to help you. They will take care about your tickets and make all the reservations needed. You don't speak the language of the country you go to? There are interpreters that will help you. With modern services you can go around the world. You can choose the means of transport you like: plane, train, shi p, bicycle or you can travel hiking.
Tourism became a very profitable business because people are ready to spend their money for the great opportunity to have a great time learning about new countries, going sightseeing, resting and enjoying themselves.

Travelling (2)

I like to travel. First of all, the members of our family usually have long walks in the country. Such walks are called hikes. If we want to see countryside we have to spend a part of our summer holidays on hikes. During such hikes we see a lot of interesting places, sometimes we meet interesting people. It's useful for all members of our family. We take our rucksacks. We don't think about tickets and there is no need to hurry up.
As for me, it's more comfortable to travel by train and by plane. But it's difficult to buy tickets for the plane. That's why we buy our tickets beforehand. When I travel by plane, I don't spend a lot of time going from one place to another. I like to fly. If I travel by train or by plane my friends see me off at the railway station or in the airport.
I like to travel by car. It's interesting too, because you can see many things in a short time. When we go by car, we don't take tickets. We put all things we need in a car. We don't carry then.
Sometimes we go to the seaside for a few days. As usual the weather is warm and we can swim. It's a pleasure to watch white ships. So I can say that I enjoy all kinds of travelling very much

Travelling (3)

If we are fond of travelling we see and learn all sorts of things we can never see or learn at home. Though we may read about them in books and newspapers and see pictures of them at the cinema.
The best way to study geography is to travel and the best way to get to know and understand the people is to meet them in their own houses. When I was a little girl every holiday that I had seemed to be perfect. In those far-off days the sun seemed to shine constantly and the water was always warm. All day I played on the sands with my friends. We made sandcastles with huge yellow walls. Sometimes we left the beach and walked in the country. Although I am now an adult, my idea of a good holiday is much the same as it was. I still like the sun and the warm sand and the sound of waves breaking on the beach. I don't want to build sandcastles any longer but still I like sunbathing and the feeling that sand is running through my fingers. I like travelling. And I want to smell different smells. I want to see different kinds of trees, flowers and plants. When I spend a holiday in travelling I always take a camera with me and photograph everything that interests or pleases me: the sights of a city, views of mountains, lakes, valleys; the ruins of ancient buildings. Some years later that will remind me the happy time that I had.

Travelling (4)

People like to travel. Travelling is necessary to us all. It keeps us from growing stale and old; it stimulates our imagination, it gives us that movement and change which are necessary to our well-being. Some people travel in search of beauty, others to satisfy their curiosity, and many people consider travelling to be a very good form of rest. Every trip always involves thinking about so many things. We have to choose the most convenient means of transport, get information about the place we are going to. We are to make sure our trip is interesting and pleasant.
There are different means of travel. For example, we can travel by air, by rail, by sea, by road or on foot. Of course, travelling by air is the fastest and the most convenient way but it is the most expensive, too. Nothing can match airplanes for speed and comfort. There is none of the dust and dirt of a railway or car journey, none of the trouble of changing train to steamer and then to another train. There is no need to trouble about your suitcase. Being on board the plane you can read newspapers to kill the time. You are also served some drinks and food. Besides, flying is a thrilling thing. But it has some disadvantages. Your flight can be delayed because of the cloudy or foggy weather. It’s not always easy to get to the airport and buy tickets. Flying is too expensive and a plane is not a very safe means of transport. You can take too great risk not only to fall down and to get airsick. There is another inconvenience you have to be prepared for when travelling long distance by plane. It’s a difference between the time you are accustomed to and the new time. It will also take you some time to get used to the new climate and surroundings. And it’s not very interesting, because you can’t see anything but clouds while travelling. For instance travelling by train is slower than by plane but it has it advantages. You can see more interesting places of the country you are travelling through. Modern trains have very comfortable seats. With a train you have speed, comfort and pleasure combined. From the comfortable corner seat of a railway carriage you have a splendid view of the whole countryside. If you are hungry, you can have a meal in the dining-car; and if the journey is a long one you can have a wonderful bed in a sleeper. Besides, trains can afford great comfort especially for elderly people. And there is nothing more interesting than a big railway station. There is the movement, the excitement, the gaiety of people going away or waiting to meet friends. There are the shouts of the porters as they pull luggage along the platforms to the waiting trains, the crowd at the booking-office getting tickets, the hungry and thirsty ones hurrying to the refreshment rooms before the train starts. Nothing can really match trains for comfort and excitement.
Travelling by sea is popular mostly for pleasure trips. On board large ships and small river boats people can visit foreign countries and different places of interest within their own country. Some people love to feel the deck of the boat under their feet, to see the rise and fall of the waves, to feel the fresh sea wind blowing in their faces and hear the cry of the sea-gulls. And it’s great excitement for people to come into the harbour and see round them all the ships, steamers, cargo-ships, sailing ships and rowing boats. But some people don’t like travelling by sea because they are always sea-sick, especially when the sea is a little bit rough.
Many people prefer travelling by car. It is wonderful, when you can stop wherever you wish and spend at any place as much time as you like.
Nowadays travelling on foot has become very widespread. You can leave the dull broad highway and go along little winding lanes where cars can’t go. You take mountain paths through the heather, wander by the side of quiet lakes and through the shade of woods. You see the real country, the wild flowers, the young birds in their nests, the deer in the forest and feel the quietness and calm of nature. You can not only admire the nature but gain experience and knowledge during your walking hours. This form of travelling attracts a great number of young people and helps them to become strong and healthy both in mind and in character. But it depends on the weather, of course. And besides, you are saving your railway fare travelling on foot. No one can deny that walking is the cheapest method of travelling.
In fact, no matter which way of holiday-making or travelling you choose, it’ll give you great pleasure. Adventure is necessary for us all. But as they say "East or West home is best”, there is for the traveller the great joy of returning home. When his curiosity for new scenes is satisfied he turns his thoughts towards home where all the things are most familiar and he loves them. So the traveller, besides the delight of his trip, has the warmest feeling of coming home. And indeed, he comes back home full of gaily impressions after his trip and with a strong desire to go on a voyage again.
